It's hard to believe that my little girl is already one! She has grown up so fast and she changing by the day. For Samantha's birthday we thought that we would have a birthday/Baby naming for her, yes we slacked on her baby naming. Since we finally decided to do a baby naming for her we needed to start looking for her Hebrew name. Tyler had a great name in mind, he wanted her Hebrew name to be Bunny and was very upset that we didn't go with it. We told him that name was taken and he says well how about Bunny2. We came up with a list of great names and decided on Navah which means beautiful and of course Samantha is beautiful so it fit perfectly!

My sweet little boy is 4! Where did the time go? It seems like yesterday I was at the hospital with him. Tyler has grown up to be such a kind, loving, smart and wonderful boy! He loves to learn and he is just a sponge, he remembers everything! Happy Birthday Tyler!!!!!

On Saturday we had Tyler's birthday Party and it was the best party he had ever had. Of course it was a spiderman party. I made another spiderman cake but this time he also wanted a black spiderman so I made both. The kids started out coloring and then Spiderman knocked at the door!!! Tyler was so excited to have spiderman at his party. Then we played games. We played web walk, I numbered webs and put them on the floor and then had music going and when the music stopped Spiderman picked a number and who ever was on that number won, then we played pin the spidey on a bad guy and then we had my favorite web the bad guys, I made posters of villains and posted them up in the basement and then gave each kid their own can of silly string to spray at the bad guys. Then we had cake and opened presents. It was such a great party :)

4 years ago I was very, very huge(gained 65 pounds) and way past my due date! I couldn't sleep because my doctor finally told me that we can take Tyler out(10 days past my due date)! I was so excited I was going to meet this precious little boy.....

We started Samantha on solids and she loves food. Big brother loves to help feed her and she loves it when Tyler feeds her.

Trip to Disneyworld

We started our trip in Jacksonville, Florida for Neena Jo's 90th birthday. Donna, Samantha and I flew out early so Neena Jo could get some extra time with her newest granddaughter. Samantha loved riding on the scooter with Neens Jo.

Sunday was the big party, there were so many people there! Neena Jo has a big family and a lot of friends that wanted to share this special day with her. She was a little overwhelmed but she loved it! I just hope when I'm 90 that I am that with it like Neena Jo!

After the party we all headed to Orlando to start our Disneyworld trip. Tyler was so excited and couldn't wait to get to the parks. The Highlight of our trip was meeting Spiderman at Universal Studios. We went on the Spiderman ride and then waited in line to meet spiderman. He was so nice!!! He spent so much time with Tyler. Tyler walked up to him hugging a stuffed spiderman and wearing a spiderman shirt. Spiderman talked to him and then signed his shirt. He then helped Tyler with the proper web shooter hand and then took pictures. We ended up buying the big poster of Tyler and Spiderman because it was so cute and Tyler does have a spiderman room. He then got his face painted like spiderman.

Tyler loved all the rides and Tyler was just tall enough to go on most of the rides. We picked a great time of year to go, it wasn't packed. And we also had Kade with us and he moved us to the front of the lines, thanks Kade! We took Tyler on Tower of Terror and he was so funny, he said mommy that was fun but my tummy got scared! I was so scared for him on that ride but he did great! It was such a great trip!

Halloween

This year Tyler wanted to be Black spiderman. He is really into black Spiderman right now. The minute he got his costume he put it on and hardly ever takes it off. And for Samantha's first Halloween I decided to dress her up as a lady bug since that is her bedroom them. Tyler was so excited to go trick or treating and kept asking if it was time yet. When it was time we went outside and our new neighborhood was swarming with kids, it was so great and it made me think we pick the perfect neighborhood to live in. Tyler was doing great until the last few houses. He took off hi mask and went to the door, I then saw him stomp away mad and I asked him what happened and he says, "She said I was CUTE!!!!!!" I'm not cute I'm Scary! He was so upset, we moved on and two houses later someone else had the nerve to call my son cute again, lol. He got all upset again and started crying. I told him that it is hard for people not to think he was cute because he is and that didn't make it better but eating candy did :)

Black Spiderman!

This year Tyler has decided he wants to be black muscle spiderman. We have been looking around and couldn't find one in his size at stores so we had to order it online. Well it came in the mail today and the second we opened it up Tyler wanted to put it on. He kept going around the house shooting webs at things, he is so cute in it and hates to take it off.

Today is Tyler's first day of school he was so excited! He went in the room said hello to his teacher, ms Emily and then found his cubby and said hello to all the kids! He didn't even care that I was leaving! My little boy is growing up so fast!

Ok so I’m way, way behind on blogging! So here is and update....

Had the most beautiful baby girl, Samantha Josephine Thalblum born on June 4th 2010.

Tyler has been such a great big brother and is so sweet to his baby sister and wants to tell everyone all about his baby sister.

Samantha had Crazy, wild hair...

And now it's better...

I am so blessed to have two wonderful kids, I love them so much!!!!

Brian got a job offer with PB&Js so we moved to Overland Park, KS. I already miss all of my Texas friends!!!

Ok so now we are up to date and I will be much better about blogging :)

Today is Brian's Birthday but we celebrated it yesterday with our friends. When I asked Tyler what he wanted to get Daddy for his birthday Tyler said something with blue, purple and green stripes. When we went to the store we found blue, purple, green and yellow striped wrapping paper so that was perfect. We then went to GameStop to get Daddy a new game for his new play station 3. We ended up buying him God of War which doesn't come out until the 16th but it's the new hot game so we bought it then so we could just go in on the 16th a pick it up. We also got him a blue tooth so he could be a dork and talk to people online while playing. Of course Brian loved both gifts :) I also asked Tyler what kind of cake we should make daddy, he thought about it for awhile and said I know! Cupcakes with green frosting, sprinkles and a cherry! Yummy :) Daddy isn't that big on sweets so it's kinda funny. So we went to the store to get cupcake wrappers and I told him to choose one. His choices were spiderman, sports, sponge bob, tinkerbell, plain colors and pink Hannah Montana. He picked out the Hannah Montana and I asked him are you sure Daddy would want Hannah Montana and Tyler said, "Yeah Daddy loves Hannah Montana, it's his favorite!" Of course we made a few people laugh who were next to us picking out cookie mix. Then we went down the part aisle and Tyler said Daddy wanted blowers so I let him pick out which blowers daddy wanted and what do you know, Daddy wanted the Hannah Montana blowers! So we got them and went home. Brian loved his Hannah montana birthday!

Potty Training

Tyler is potty trained! A couple of Days before Tyler's birthday party Yia Yia, Tyler and I went to walmart to pick out some new big boy underwear. Tyler went straight for the spiderman and friends pack. We had daddy help us with all the names of spiderman's friends. Tyler was so excited to wear them them. The first couple of Days we took him to the potty every two hours or so and he did great. He even had his big boy underwear on at his party which was pretty distracting since it was at Chuck E Cheese but he did great. We had no accidents. After a few days we started letting him tell us when he had to go and he had gone a little right as he told us, so he was figuring it out. We were going through underwear fast and he liked to wear the ones with spiderman on them and the pack had some without spiderman. So we went back to the store, this time we went to target and they had Dee Dee(Mickey Mouse) underwear and Tyler went crazy and wanted to get those. Now when he has to go, he takes off his pants and underwear and runs to the bathroom. He is so cute and we will have to work on just pulling his pants down in the bathroom and going. We started a potty training chart and he loved it. I explained to him, he gets a sticker for everytime he goes pee pee in the potty. I told him he gets to pick where he wants to go when he has filled up his whole chart. I gave him some choices: zoo, Chuck E Cheese, bowling and the movies. He was so excited and said he wanted to go to the movies and see Alvin and the chipmunks(for the second time). So we filled up fast and went to the movies and had lots of fun!

Turning 3!!!

I can't believe my baby is already 3! Tyler had 3 celebrations for turning 3. On friday we started his birthday off with a dinner with friends. Every month a few of us get together for dinner since our husbands work nights. Since it was almost Tyler's birthday Miss Brittany made cupcakes. All the boys brought their stuffed puppies and we made it into a puppy party! The boys had a blast which they always do when they get together.

Then on Sunday we all went to the zoo for his actual birthday. Yia Yia and Papa drove down on Saturday to celebrate his birthday. I asked Tyler what he wanted to do on his birthday and of course without hesitation he yelled go to the zoo. That boy loves the zoo and he would go everyday if he could. It was Daddy's, Yia Yia's, and Papa's first trip to the Houston zoo so Tyler made sure to show them everything. While Tyler was napping, Yia Yia and I made a spiderman birthday cake for Tyler. He was so excited when he saw it and just kept singing the spiderman song over and over again.

Then today was his birthday party with all his friends at Chuck E Cheese. All last week he was so excited. I kept telling him that your party is on Tuesday and he would ask me if it was Tuesday yet. My friend Ella made Tyler's cake and it turned out great! Tyler and his friends had a wonderful time playing games, eating and playing with Chuck E Cheese.

It's a Girl!!!

Today I had a doctors appointment and I didn't expect to get an ultrasound, My doctor told me that I would get one when I was 20 weeks. I am a little over 18 weeks now and so when she said lets just get an ultrasound today I was super excited! Anyone who knows me, knows that I was dying to know what I was having from the minute I found I was pregnant. With this baby I am feeling A LOT of movement. Tyler didn't move that much or I just didn't notice. So from that I just assumed I was having a boy. I have one toddler who is jumping and running in circles and another one in my tummy! They both have a lot of energy :) Well I was surprised to find out that its a girl in there! The pictures arn't that clear because this girl was all over the place! When I had Tyler's ultrasound it was very clear he just laid there sucking his thumb.

It's cold in Kansas

We just had our first road trip in our new van to Kansas. We had so much room!!! Tyler did great he watched movie after movie. Everytime I go to Kansas I say I hope it snows and then it doesn't and we go home and two days later it snows. Be careful what you wish for! It snowed the whole time we were there and it was so cold! Tyler loved the snow. He loved to walk in it and just sink to the ground. Everytime we went out side we had to really bundle up, one of the warm days was 16 degrees! Brrrrr We still got to have lots of fun!

Tyler usually likes me to carry him up and down the stairs. Pretty soon I wont be able to and I shouldn't lift that much weight(my boy weighs 35 pounds!) So I started telling Tyler to come down the stairs by himself. The first two times it worked great! Then he started bringing more and more stuffed animals down with him(He got a few new ones from the holidays) and he would start to cry because he couldn't carry them all by himself downstairs. So I came up with the idea of leaving the basket in his room and when he gets up and mommy tells him he can come down stairs, he can put all his stuffed animals and blankie in the basket and drag the basket down the stairs. Again this idea worked great and he loved it. Then daddy had the idea for Tyler to get in the basket and daddy carry everything down the stairs. So of course he wanted to do it all the time but I told him it was just a daddy thing. He just loves his basket!

A Great day at the Zoo!

Yesterday Tyler and I went to the zoo with our friends, Brittany, Christopher, Chad and Seth. We found out after we had planed to go that there was going to be snow at the zoo. We left early in the morning and didn't get back until late afternoon. We got to see everything thanks to Tyler keeping us on schedule. He would say I want to see the monkeys and as soon as we came to a monkey he said ok more, come on everybody! We got to see them feeding a tiger and Tyler thought it was really cool. The kids loved playing in the snow except for Seth. We got to rid the carousel twice and Tyler wanted to rid the alligator like always but there is no alligator on this carousel, usually he throws a fit and sits on the bench but this time he wanted to ride the snake and then the turtle. When we were about to leave we went and rode the train around the park, the kids love it and get so excited. Tyler said his favorite thing was the spider and the bats.

December is going by fast! We have had tons of activities to keep us busy. This year for Hanukkah Tyler understood it a little better than last year. When daddy was lighting the candles and saying the pray, Tyler would try to say it with him, it was so cute. After the prayer every night Tyler would Scream Happy Hanukkah!!! He loved opening his presents and wanted to play them the second he opened them. He got spiderman matching game, candy land, shoots and ladders, Mickey's fishing game, Diego Dino wii game, Diego underwear, spiderman walkie talkies, cheetah stuffed animal and book to go with it and a chameleon stuffed animal and book to go with it. His favorite present was the Diego Dino wii game. He had so much fun playing it. It was the first time he ever played the wii and I didn't know how it was going to go but he did great! And you have to jump, run and roll around so he was burning energy :) He also loves his new stuffed animals and carries them around everywhere. He calls the cheetah baby Jaguar and calls the chameleon lizard. We also decorated Hanukkah cookies or should say Tyler ate the frosting while the cookies were in front of him. Then a few days later we had a playgroup cookie decorating and he actual got some frosting on the cookies:)

We had our annual Holiday playgroup party with families. Genevieve was kind enough to host again this year(even with a new born!) and we had so much fun! The kids went crazy and the parents got to catch up and enjoy yummy food.

Snow in Houston

A couple of days ago it actually snowed here! I thought that there wouldn't be enough to really see it but there was a couple of inches, enough to make a little snow man! He thought it was a lot of fun to kick down the snowman. Tyler loved the snow and throwing snow balls at mommy

When we were at Yia Yia and Papa's house their neighbors came by and asked for canned goods for a fundraiser they were having at school. Yia Yia told Tyler to come help and of course Tyler was super excited to help. He grabbed the cans and put them in the bag. After they left Tyler asked for more people to come. We had told him earlier that John and Jocelyn(Yia Yia and Papa's friends) were coming over to say hi to him. When they arrived he said hi and then ran to the pantry to get some cans of food. He handed them the food and we took it back. But he kept getting them more food, it was too cute and too funny!

When we went to Kansas Yia Yia took Tyler ice skating for the first time and he did so good. I was so impressed he was doing better then some of the older kids. The first time around he wanted to hold Yia Yia's hand and then once he got the hang of it he wanted to do it all by himself(holding on to the railing). Towards the end he was going from the rail to Yia Yia all by himself! I asked him what his favorite part was and of course he said falling down!!! He thought it was so funny when he fell and kept falling on purpose.

We're Pregnant!

I know Most of you already know because I can't keep it a secrect but I just relizeded I never bloged about it. On My birthday, October 15th I had a doctors appointment. And the doctor confirmed that I was pregnat 5 weeks and 6 days! Here is a picture of the baby(very small)

Now I am 13 weeks pregnant and feeling great! I had a few days of feeling sick but for the most part I felt good. All I can think of now is if we are going to have a baby girl or a baby boy. Of course we will be happy we either. Most of you know I can't do surprises so it's all I think about :)

When Grrpa was here we went to the Houston Space Center. Tyler was really excited to see the spaceships. We went on the tour, which was 2 hours long and Tyler did great. We had to be quite at times and for the most part he was :) At the end of the tour Tyler asked the tour guide "when will there be a doggie on the moon?" of course I had to translate it but it was so cute! The guy said, umm I don't know, he could of made something up and go along with it but he didn't. So now when ever Tyler sees any adults, he asks them "when will there be a doggie on the moon?" Poor guy he is still waiting for an answer!

On thursday Tyler had his last goldfish class on thursday. Ms. Sarah said she needs to move him up because he is so bored in her class and keeps jumping off the step and swimming to the other side(without permission! I wish I could go in there and yell at him to listen to ms. Sarah). Unfortunately, Ms Sarah only teaches one Dolphin class on monday at 12:30 and that didn't work well for our schedule so we had to get a new teacher Mr. Corey. After we scheduled our class we found out that Tyler's friend Alastair will be in his class, how fun :) Here is a copy of Tyler's certificate....

Kansas Trip 8/20-8/28

On thursday when we arrived in Kansas Papa was there to pick us up, Yia Yia was in Cedar Rapid, Iowa helping Todd with the kids since sadly Sabrina's mother passed away. The next day we drove to Cedar Rapids so we could see everyone and go to the welcome service for Todd at the Temple. Of course Tyler was super excited to see Noah and Gavi he loves hanging out with them. He also loves their new house, it is so big! There were so many hiding spots and hidden stairs that Tyler loved. That night Tyler did very well at the welcome service, considering they started at 7:00. The only problem is that he wanted to stay up there with Uncle Todd and Dance, of course everyone thought it was cute. He loves the attention. The next day we drove back to Kansas. On monday night we went to the baseball game. The Royals Stadium is so cool! They have a kid zone and it has a merry go round, a mini field so kids can hit the ball and run the bases, a splash pad, a playground and a mini golf. When I asked Tyler what his favorite thing was he said when it was Tylers turn to hit and run. After we played we went to sit down and watch some of the game. I guess Tyler is good luck because we were loosing by three when we sat down to watch and when we got up to leave to go home we were up by one. Of course once we got in the car and turned the game on we were loosing again. Here are some pictures from the park....

Another thing we did is go to Deanna Rose. This is Tyler's favorite place to go when we visit Yia Yia and Papa. This time we did stuff we had never done like a horse ride and feeding the baby goats a bottle. He had so much fun on the horse ride! Kids under 3 were not allowed to go on but we let Tyler and I just told him that he needs to hold on really tight. He had the biggest smile the whole time! When we were feeding the goats everytime Tyler had food they would all go to Tyler and try to get the food. He fed one to each of the goats and if one he had already fed tried to get more food from him he would say no, no , no and wave his finger at them. It was so cute he wanted to make sure all the goats got food. Here are some pictures...

For the 4th of July we had everyone over for a barbecue. Even though we were not allowed to do fire works we did some small fireworks in the front yard. I had to put this picture up, Tyler looks like he is going to set himself on fire. He loved the fireworks!

Steamboat 6/14-6/20

For Harvey's birthday we all went to Steamboat, CO. It was kind of a shock going from Houston, Tx to Steamboat, CO. There was snow still on the top of the mountains and the day we arrived we had a hail storm! Of course I didn't pack the right clothes and I had to go out and buy a sweatshirt(which was good because it was cute!). We stayed at one of Donna and Harvey's good friends The Fry's House. It was so big, Everyone got their own room and we had plenty of space. Downstairs they had a theater room that we all watched the video that Brian and Todd had made for Harvey and it was great. Here is a link to the video http://gallery.me.com/rambir#100000 We went to a hot spring and it was so nice the water was so warm, we went on hikes and rode up the mountain on the gondola. One of Tyler's favorite things was to climb on the big rocks and there were so many around he ran from rock to rock. After we we went up the mountain on the gondola we had lunch and then hiked back down which was about four miles. We were hesitant to have Tyler hike down but he did great, well for the first two miles. He was a very polite hiker. Any time there was a stump or a rock in the middle of the hiking trail he would say be careful a rock. Then after two miles he got tired and said up please to(of course) me. He only wanted mommy to carry him. Everyone kept offering to hold him and he didn't even want daddy to hold him. So I after two miles of hiking had to hike another two mile down the mountain with a 34 lb toddler in my arms, boy were my arms really sore the next day! We also went to this place that had miniature gold and a maze. Tyler got a hole in one on his first hole all by himself but then got bored so he started crawling through the stuff on the holes. Then we had to go through a maze and it was timed and if you did it under a certain amount of time you got a prize. Thankfully Tyler wanted to switch to Daddy's arms(he had more hole punches then mommy) and they ran around and finished fast. Thanks Donna and Harvey for such a wonderful vacation!

Playgroup Camping Trip 5/29-5/31

Yes I am finally blogging! The end of May we had our playgroup camping trip and everyone loved it! When I first told Brian that we were going he didn't seem to excited, if his family had a choice of camping or a really nice hotel, they would choose the hotel. But once I got started talking about it and that we were going to stay in air conditioned cabins and it wasn't really camping he was ok. They were cute little cabins, two bunk beds with a full size on the bottom of one of the bunk beds. Each cabin had a cute little patio and picnic table and the bathrooms were close and clean. Tyler had a blast spending a whole weekend with friends. When he woke up in the morning he would start yelling Cole and Avery's name and would go outside and there they would be waiting to play. Jennifer and Bryan brought their boat and that made the trip even more fun. All the kids loved it, Tyler even went tubing with me and loved it. We went on a hike, went swimming in the lake, rode bikes, got really dirty and roasted marshmallows. It was so much fun and I hope we can do it again some day!

A Day at the Park

This was Tyler's first time meeting Kade. They had so much fun together. I was worried that Tyler was going to be rough, since him and his friends have been so rough lately and pushing eachother down and laughing. But he was so sweet to kade. We went to the park for a picnic and to let them play. They played chase and when Kade got stuck he went and tried to turn him out of the ditch.

Lizards are everywhere in Jacksonville and Tyler loves them. He saw a couple and started to chase them and then he wanted us to catch one for him. We spent hours one day trying to catch these crazy lizards but we couldn't. I kept telling Brian to go catch one because its a guy thing to do. Well two days later we head over to Tammy and Robert's(Brian's Aunt and Uncle) house again and before we even get out of the car Tyler is saying lizards, lizards. So I decided I was determined to get one for him since his Daddy couldn't get him one. I saw one on the deck and it saw me coming and ran but I dove for it and caught it!!!! I scraped my pinkie finger up and it was bleeding but it was worth it since Tyler got so happy. It was so gross so I started to hold it by the tail and told Brian to take it and hold it for Tyler. After tyler held it, pet it and kissed it we let it go and of course he wanted another one. And so Tyler's wonderful Mommy caught him another one just like that and became the hero of the day!

Jacksonville Zoo

Of course Tyler loves the zoo! At the Jacksonville Zoo you can feed the Giraffes so Tyler thought that was really cool. We saw all sorts of animals. When we first got there we asked Tyler what animal he wanted to see and he said elephant(of course, 3 elephants a mommy, daddy and a tyler keep following us everywhere we go, they were in California and now they are in Florida) so we are walking on the way to the elephants and we pass other animals and we say oh Tyler look at the birds and Tyler says no elephant and makes an elephant noise and says bye birds. He did that to all the animals then finally we got to the elephants and he sees them and say bye elephants and says Giraffes. We can get through the zoo pretty fast. They had a great splash pad there that Tyler loved and he would of stayed there all day. We had to bribe him with a ride on the carousal to get him out. He picked the alligator to ride on(the alligators also follow us around and snaps at him when he is napping he tells me).

Everytime Tyler goes to sleep we have to do a roll call to make sure everyone is there. I have tried to get ride of some of them so I wouldn't have to take a suitcase of stuffed animals when we go places, but Tyler will always ask where they are. Here is a picture of the whole gang!

Awhile ago Brian asked me why Tyler is always talking about Barbie. I said what he never talks about Barbie when I am around. It wasn't until I went to California and my sister said why does he keep asking for Barbie? And I told her he's not saying Barbie he is clearly saying more please. After I kept listening to him say more please, now it sounds just like Barbie but I never noticed. It's so crazy that I understand Tyler so well, to me he says stuff pretty clearly but I always have to translate it to people, even Brian!

Tyler and I had so much fun in California! It was so good to go home and see everyone. Here is a list of the stuff we did....

We went to the zoo and Tyler went on his first roller coaster! It was really fast! When we turn the corner I grab him tighter, I thought he was going to be scared but he loved it!

Yesterday was the first day of Passover and we had our seder last night. Donna and I were hosting the seder so we had lots to do. We decided to make plagues bags and they turned out great! This is what was in them...

The Seder:

We all took turns reading from the haggadah(The haggadah tells the story of the Exodus from Egypt and explains some of the practices and symbols of the holiday) then ate yummy food! Brian hide the Afikomen in Tyler's potty(he hasn't used it yet and it was in a plastic bag) and the kids couldn't find it. It looked like a tornado hit in the playroom. With the help of me telling Tyler to look in his potty, he found it. All the kids ran after him as he ran to give it to Daddy and they all got presents. All the kids had tons of fun. After we had our delicious desserts we sang passover songs. Here is a video of one song....

Spring Playgroup Party!

Best friends!

Yesterday was our Playgroup spring party. Tyler had a blast eating all the yummy food. Ella Hid "spring" eggs for all the kids and I thought Tyler wouldn't know what to do but he ran outside and grabbed as many eggs as he could find. Then when I told him there were treats in the eggs he couldn't wait to open them. My favorite picture is the one where I am opening a lollypop and Tyler is yelling no and pointing at me. Tyler's favorite thing to do is play his Sesame Street computer game. Anytime we go on the computer Tyler comes running over and saying big bird, big bird! He is so good at it. He uses the mouse really well! If you can't understand him in the video, when elmo asks to find the color red he points to to the other colors and says is this red, no thats purple and so on to each color and then he gets to the color red and he says is this red, yes its red and clicks on it. To everyone-

Yes I love my Baba. For those of you who dont know thats my mommy, I call her Baba just to bug her because she keeps telling me no mommy. Anyways, we had so much fun this morning. I woke up, had breakfast, got ready and were out the door. Baba said we were going somewhere but I wasn't paying attention, the bugs were so much more interesting. We pulled up to the gym and I said oh great baba is leaving me. But as we walked in Blues Clue's was playing and I was so excited! When baba got back she gave me a treat and said are you ready to go bowling? Whats bowling I thought, but baba made it sound so fun so I said bowling! When we got there we got these funky shoes that I danced in. We picked out a ball and off we went. Wow bowling is so much fun! I got to use this ramp thing and all I had to do was push hard like Hurcules and the ball knocked over thing! I love knocking over this so I thought it was so funny when the things knocked over. I did a really good job and got an 83! Baba got a 73 but I bowled for he most of the time because I didn't want her to touch my ball. After bowling we ate lunch and watched another Blues clue's and went to bed. I had a really busy, fun Day today!

Sunday and Monday I put Tyler down for a nap at 1:30 and had to wake him up after three hours. I was so excited because he usually naps for an hour or an hour and a half. On Tuesday I was thinking what am I going to get down during his nap because he will nap for so long. Yeah I guess I got over excited because Tyler decided not to nap that day and today. Tyler needs his sleep or he gets cranky and I just hope this is permanent.

Most of Tyler's friends are in school and all of them will be starting in the fall. We did find a school we liked but you had to be 3 years old and potty trained so we are waiting until next year. Preschool for the 2 year olds focuses on getting them to be social. Tyler is very social already, we do something almost everyday with people, but he is very clingy to me. So I thought I might try out a gym so that Tyler can go in the day care away from me and I can get some piece in quite on a treadmill. Well it didn't go good at first. The first time I took him the lady had to come get me because they have a 15 minute crying rule. So she suggested that I keep coming a lot and only stay for 15-20 minutes. Well we kept going and going and he kept crying and crying. We went about 10 times. Yesterday it was a little better. He was still crying but he was also talking to ms Deborah. She asked him if he had a dog or cat and he kept telling her I dont know in between crying. This morning we headed out to the gym and I went to check him in. They gave him his sticker(they have number stickers on their backs to keep track) and he tried to put it on his back but put it on his butt instead. I told him mommy will be back and then I left. To my surprise when I came back he wasn't crying! I asked ms deborah if he was crying and she said no, he would watch the people walking in to see if it was you but he never got upset. Hooray!

My Big Boy

Kansas trip Feb09

As always we had tons of fun in Kansas visiting Deena and Papa and the dogs. We went to the mall and went on the carousal, Kaleidospcope at crown center to do arts and crafts, pump it up,story time at the library, pop in play time at the history museum, an indoor pool and fed the swans almost everyday. Tyler even re-named Deena to Yaya, I guess it fits better with Dada, Baba(thats me) and Papa. He loved chasing the dogs around, the dogs wern't to happy about it. Toffee got mad when Tyler was in her bed. The indoor pool was great for Tyler, we got to show Yaya and Papa all the stuff he is learning in swim class. He is getting so good! We were hoping for snow so we could go sledding but it didn't snow until a few days after we left of course!

Dirty Diaper

As I was walking into Tylers room to get him from his nap I tripped over something. As to my surprise it was a poopy diaper(big one) I was thinking oh my gosh there is going to be poop every where! I see Tyler on his bed with his butt in the air, I walk over and his butt was clean and so were the sheets. So I pick up the diaper(it was rolled up) and inside there were a whole bunch of poopy wipes in it(and maybe this is to much information but it was not a solid clean poop, it was a messy one). My Son had pooped and taken off his diaper and wiped his butt and rolled the diaper up! What a good little boy! I'm sure that was a once in a life time thing. I was just surprised I didn't walk into a room with poop all over the walls and carpet.

Tyler had so much fun at his party. We rented a bounce house for the kids and everyone loved it. It was a basketball them party as you can see on the cake(thanks Ella!) I dont think Tyler really knew what was going on but he loved blowing out the candle, it's his favorite thing to do. I cant even light candles around the house because he wants to blow them out. Tyler's first swimming class!

For Hunnukah Dona and Harvey got Tyler swimming lessons(Thank you so much!). So last Thursday was Tyler's first swimming class! He loved it! We had miss shay as a teacher and she was really nice and good with Tyler but she is leaving so from now on we will have miss sarah who is also very nice and good with Tyler. Miss shay was surprised that he wasn't crying because usually they cry their first time. Well he did kinda cry at the end after diving to the bottom of the pool to get the rings, which according to miss shay kids dont do on the first day. She tuaght him to do 1, 2, 3, bubbles and now Tyler does it non stop in his bath tub. When we were driving to swim class today I told him where we were going and he got so excited. Thanksgiving

This year we had Thanksgiving at our house and it was tons of fun! For most of he time everyone played rockband upstairs and Tyler loved it! He kept putting the guitar on and playing the drums. When we were all down stairs Tyler kept sneaking back up stairs to play the drums. It was so cute! Tyler even got Papa to play ring around the rosie!

Tyler's Big Boy Room

Yesterday we changed Tyler's room into Tyler's big boy room! As most of you know Tyler loves animals! Some of his favorite animals are bears, lions, monkeys and elephants and so I was happy to find this bedding with all the wild animals. He helped Daddy put his bed together and then left so that Mommy could put everything together. When I was finally done I took him in his room and he saw all the animals and kept say wow, wow and got on his bed and started jumping. Then he started to make all the animal noises, he loved it! We kept his crib in the room so that he could choose what he wanted to sleep in. When it came time for nap time we read books and I asked him do you want to go night, night in your crib or your big boy bed. He walked over to the crib and looked at it and then pointed to the bed and ran over. So I put him in and tucked him in and said good night and left the room. As soon as I walked out he started to pretend snore. I listened at the monitor to see what he was going to do. I didn't hear anything for about ten minutes and then I heard him get out of bed. He started playing with the door stopper and something else(I could only hear some noise) and then it was quite. I don't know if he fell asleep on the bed or the floor but he went to sleep. Then at bed time we asked him where he wanted to sleep and he picked the big boy bed again. This time we left and I heard no noise at all. After two hours passed I knew he was in his deep sleep and so I opened the door to see if he was on his bed. At first I didn't see him but then saw a big lump in the bed. He was all the way under the covers and the pillow was on his head! I could hear him breathing so it was ok but it was so cute!

Tyler and Cole went to go get their haircut. Of course all they wanted to do is play with the train set. When the lady was finished cutting Tyler's hair she said oh it would look cute if we spiked the front, so she did it and it looked so cute! It was a pain to do at home but we wore it like that for a couple of days to show our friends the new haircut.

If you remember in an earlier blog I said Tyler hated his devil costume so I went and bought a pirate costume that he loved. We wore it for a bit and then I took it off him and he ran and got his devil costume so I put him in it and he didn't want to take it off. Good thing we had so many halloween parties to go to, we got to switch off.

When we went trick or treating he was so excited because he got to be with his friend Cole. They were laughing and being crazy together. Tyler really didn't get the whole trick or treating, he would ring the door bell and then try to go inside. He got really mad at me because I wasn't letting him go inside. So he was in a mood, but then we saw two dalmatians(101 Dalmatians is his favorite movie and we watch it ALL the time) and he got so excited. We went and pet them and then Tyler was out of his bad mood.

When people told Tyler and Cole to take one and held it for them to choose, Cole would take one and Tyler would try to take as many that would fit in his hand.

We had so much fun this Halloween and can't wait until next year!

Dewberry Farm

Today we went to Dewberry Farm. Tyler had so much fun! He got to feed goats, go down slides, climb haystacks, jump on a bouncy thing, see a whole bunch of animals, go through a corn maze and pick out a pumpkin! He was so excited at the pumpkin patch, he was running to all the pumpkins. He picked out a 20lb pumpkin to take home, of course Daddy had to help him pick it up. Before we left we had to get some kettle korn and now Tyler's new favorite snack is kettle korn, yummy!

I dont know where Tyler learned this but recently when I put him down for a nap or to sleep for the night he lays down and snores and pretends to be sleeping. It's so cute and I finally got it on video! I think he must have learned when he was watching TV with daddy and daddy fell asleep(daddy snores!), I'm sure it has happened more than once.

First Day of School!

A lot of Tyler's friends have started school so a few of us said we are going to have "school" at home and teach the kids stuff. Well today was Tylers first day of school and he loved it. We learned about the letter A, the color red, the shape circle and the number 1. He loved painting with the red paint! We had Apples for a snack(since apples starts with the letter A) read books about the letter A, Apples numbers and shapes. We did puzzles and picture searches. After school was over we meet cole at the park and played and got really dirty and wet. Then we went for lunch at El Jarrito and Tyler and cole played in their play area. It has sand so when it came time to eat lunch they were covered in sand! Then we went straight home, took a bath and took a nap. He had a wonderful first day of school. Animals

Yesterday we went to the zoo with some friends. It's so cute, now that Tyler is older and not sleeping in his stroller while I walk the zoo, he points to the animals and makes their noise. He knows all the animals. Here is a video of some of his animal noises.

He just learned the snake and bee sound the other day. Apparently the daddy lion just ate a caribou. If you didn't hear I asked him what the daddy lion says and he did his burping noise, obviously he hears daddy burp way to much!

Tyler is all over the places these days and falling left and right. Since the weather has been so beautiful lately we went to the park everyday this week after nap time and everyday he has fallen on his knee. Poor Tyler, there was blood and everything. I bought this cute little devil costume for Tyler. When I got in in the mail I opened it up right away and put it on Tyler. It was so CUTE on him, but he hates it! He keeps tugging at it and wants it off. I keep putting it on him so that he can get used to it but he keeps pulling at it and crying! I'm going to have to go buy him another costume now :(

Tyler loves the water. He was swiming back in forth all day long. Before we could even grab him and give him a little break he was already throwing himself back to the other person. Tyler got a little creative and started to do a little dance before he jumped into to the pool and of course he fell, but that didn't stop him he kept jumping! He would even jump when you wern't looking. I have been trying to teach him to say 1, 2, 3 mama if he wants to jump to me(he loves to jump off the couch to me when I'm not paying attention) and he will actually say doo(For two) mama and thats it.

Awhile ago Tyler got into my stamps and started to stamp his whole body. He had ink every where, himself and the carpet. It was hard not to get mad at him because he was so cute. I didn't care that he had it all over him it washed off easy, but the carpet was a different story. He kept pointing to the monkey stamp and making monkey noises.

One of Tyler's favorite books is Snuggle Puppy. It's the cutest book, well it's more of a love song they call it. you give lots of kisses and Tyler always looks up at me for kiss at the part where you are suppose to give a kiss. Now he sits with the book and reads it. He repeats OOO I love you over and over again. It's like he is reading it and he even gets the words right!

Mommy's Little Helper

The other day we went to Toys R Us to stock up on toys for all of Tyler's friends birthday parties. We brought Daddy along so the boys could go play and I could actually be productive and shop. Since Tyler was such a good boy he got a toy too. I decided to buy him a vacuum cleaner so that he could vacuum with me. He usually helps me vacuum, I push it and Tyler is on the other side trying to push back so the vacuum doesn't really move. When I told Brian I was going to buy him a vacuum he said, a vacuum thats not fun, but let me tell you it's one of his favorite toys. When I say it's time to vacuum he runs to the closet and we both get our vacuums out. He helps me unwind my cord and then he goes to his vacuum and pushes the on button(it has a light and makes the vacuum noise). He is so cute he really thinks he is vacuuming and loves to do it. When we are done he puts his vacuum right next to mommy's vacuum in the closet. He is so helpful. So now I guess I need to buy him an ironing board and iron so I could iron in peace!

As Tyler was heading off to take a nap I told him to say goodnight to dada, he said something that sounded like that. Dada said goodnight to him and said I love you. Tyler then said I LOVE YOU!!!! He actually said it. He usually makes sound similar to it but he actually said it. I freak out because it was so cute. I keep trying to get him to do it again so I can get it on camera, but no such luck, he looks at me like I'm crazy!

Tyler loves to go under his crib and hide from us. He thinks it is the funniest thing when he is hiding and we say, where is Tyler, has anyone seen Tyler? He jumps out and says grrrrr to scare us. Well now every time he brushes his teeth, he runs in his room and hides under the crib.

Awhile ago we got a stack of dvds from a friend. In the stack there was a movie called stellaluna, which I had never heard of. A few days ago Tyler found the dvd and wanted me to put it on. We watched it and he watch the whole movie. Then he went down for a nap. When he woke up he brought it to me again and some how opened it and tried putting the dvd in the dvd player. Ever since then he carries this dvd everywhere he goes and he wants to watch it all the time. He even took it in his crib and took a nap with it, he is too cute!

In San Antonio We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Dick's. For those who have never been to a dick's, the servers there are really mean and rude to you and do really funny things like put bibs on you and make hats with mean thing written on them. It's a great place they have servers yelling across the room at people and trowing stuff. Tyler kept pointing at our hats so our server made Tyler a hat, he wouldn't keep it on but it was funny!

Children's Museum of San Antonio

Since Grrrrpa and auntie Abbey don't get up early and are on California time, Brian and I took Tyler to the children's museum one morning. It was great and it was just a block down the street from our hotel. He loved it! His two favorite things were being in the bubble and the fish. I asked him what were the fishes names and he started naming them, a couple of them were woof woof, some were named uh-oh and one was named dada. Since he loves bubbles he could of stayed in the bubble room for the whole day. He thought it was so cool that he got to be inside of the bubble. He kept wanting to do it over and over again. We had to distract him just to get him away from it.

When my dad and sister were in town we went to San Antonio to see the Alamo and the river walk. It was lots of fun we all loved it! We were at the Alamo looking around and we went into a room that had a line to it and it had all the riffles in it. When Tyler saw the riffles he said oooooo-uhhhhhhhh and kept pointing at it. Then this women in front of us, she was probably around the same age as me and my sister. She said really loud some people just don't have any respect, this is a memorial! And gave us a mean look. I was so mad Tyler is a baby and he was saying oooooo-uhhhh because it was cool, what was her problem. Why don't people mind their own business?

Auntie Abbey and Grrrrpa

Tyler had lots of fun with my sister and dad visiting. Though he wasn't really nice to auntie Abbey. Everytime she gave Tyler a kiss he would scream or cry. She even tried to bribe him and buy him a toy but he didn't change. He liked Grrrrrpa. He cant say grandpa and he kept growling at everyone so I taught him to say pa at the end of it.

A day at the park

For some reason when ever we hang out at the park with cole we get really dirty. Tyler loves to play with the bark. Miss Ella brought everyone popsicles to eat and then Tyler and Cole had a sword fight with the sticks. They both have so much fun playing with each other. Of course Tyler kept trying to eat the dirt and basically take a bath in dirt. When we got home Tyler had dirt in bark all in his diaper and in his shirt, he was a mess! Pump it up!

Tyler loves going to pump it up and he just recently started going and playing by himself or with friends. He used to always want mommy to go down the slide with him or bounce with him. This day was especially cute because Tyler and his friends kept playing ring around the rosy together, it was so cute! He also kept giving hugs and kisses to everyone. He kept trying to hold Jackson's hand and Jackson didn't want him to. :( But Avery wanted to hug and kiss him and that made him happy. Poor Avery she didn't know it was going to be an open mouth kiss!

Library Time

These videos are from a couple of weeks ago at library time but they were so cute I had to post them. I'm so happy Tyler is loving library time now. He used to cling to me and just sit and then after five weeks of going he got up and sat on the other side of the room and started to sing and do all the motions. I was so proud of him. He is growing up so fast!!!

Tyler is always falling down and getting hurt. I told him that if he only looked up and forward he would run into things. The other day Tyler and I were hosting playgroup and like always Tyler was helping. I was filling the pool with water and then I heard a bang on the cement. It was Tylers face. He scraped his nose and around his eye. Then after playgroup he bump his head on the coffee table. When he hurts himself he looks up to mommy(yes mommy not Daddy, it's the only time that he wants mommy over daddy) and that sad little face breaks my heart. I just want to wrap him in bubble wrape so he wont ever get hurt!

18 Month Birthday!

While we were in Kansas, Deena and Papa got Tyler a cupcake dog so that we could celebrate his 18 month birthday. They cake was so cute, Tyler loved it! At first he was sticking one finger in it and then licking his finger, but as time went on he used both hands and got really messy. After he was all done messing it up he tried to put the little hat back on the dog and the candles in, it was so cute. By the end he was covered in cake. He went straight to the bath tub to get all cleaned up!

Trip to Kansas

We had so much fun in Kansas! We went on mary go rounds, went to pop in play time, did crafts, went to the zoo, went to deanna rose, fed horses, played with the dogs and followed around papa. Tyler's Favorite thing was going to Deanna Rose. He loves the goats. He could of stayed all day by the goats and fed them. Every-time a goat would eat out of Tyler's hand he would giggle! Another fun thing Tyler loved was bring the dish towels to Papa. He would open the draw take out one dish towel and shut the draw and then bring it to Papa and then do it over and over again. If Papa got up Tyler would go and look for him so that he could give him the dish towel. He just followed Papa everywhere! Deena and Papa had a little fountain in the back yard that Tyler loved to get in, of course being naked.
